SPARTACUS (2018), LIL' RED (2018)

These were the first 2 games that I worked on as an Associate Artist at Scientific Games as an Art Lead. Coming in with no real experience in the game industry I was in for a challenge. Thankfully these games were more of a graphical update from their previous versions with not too many needed changes. However I was the only artist tasked to these games and was in charge of leading the art direction. My task was to paint new backgrounds and incorporate them as part of the overall gameplay mechanics. I designed the background art assets to interact when our bonuses were activated, and updated some of the symbol artwork for our new high end machines. My highlight was creating the fun video attracts that play on our top screens.
MYSTERIES OF RA (2020)

Mysteries of Ra was a new IP for Scientific Games and I was tasked to own the role as Art Lead from the start. I had to also create new animations, particle effects, and video attracts. Working close with my engineering team I communicated my vision on how this game should work and play. Following the same game mechanics as Spartacus and Lil' Red, this allowed me to focus mostly on the art and really push my imagination in an Egyptian themed game. I was still new to digital painting so creating all of the art assets from symbols to background images was a very tough challenge for me. But this helped improve my overall skills and showed that I can push beyond what is expected of me, and at the end I was very proud to have accomplished this much on my own as an Art Lead.
DANCING DRUMS ULTIMATE EXPLOSION (2024)

Dancing Drums is a very popular slot game and one of the best selling titles at LNW. So when I was assigned to take lead in the art direction of this new entry I knew I had a big responsibility. My desire to incorporate more 3D assets was a first for this game, so I worked closely with our game designer to see what we could potentially change. My role was to direct the vision to our 3D artists to help model 2D assets into 3D and bring a new sense of immersion by taking players through 3D environments for our bonuses. My push to have certain game assets modeled in 3D helped drive a new and bold direction for the series. The game was within the top 10 for 6 months and was a great success, proving this new 3D blueprint was the right initiative. Due to my assertiveness in the art direction for this game, I was given a promotion to Senior Artist in my studio.
DANCING DRUMS REVOLUTION (2025)

Due to the success of Dancing Drums Ultimate Explosion, the series was ready to take it to the next level with Dancing Drums Revolution. Incorporating a larger amount of 3D assets I was tasked to model new expansive environments and recreate old 2D symbols into 3D assets with animations. This game pushed the boundaries of where we could take it in 3D and we expanded on the idea of having grander than life environments rich with color and detail. I was responsible for modeling most of our 3D assets and worked closely with another supporting 3D team member to direct how we wanted our textures to look. It was a great undertaking, but one I greatly enjoyed. With the success from new 3D environments pushing our artistic visions, I was promoted to be part of the 3D support team in my studio to help incorporate more 3D assets into future games.
